Inside Fukuoka Island City Park
A traditional Korean park was created at the International Exchange Center of the Island Greening Fair (Hanadontaku), jointly hosted by the cities of Busan and Fukuoka. It embodies the front yard of a traditional Korean middle-class home and was meticulously constructed on a site of approximately 100 pyeong (approximately 330 square meters) based on Korean principles of yin and yang and feng shui. The park, built using Korean cultural technicians and materials, emphasized a distinctly Korean aesthetic.
